Even when a player is permitted to walk, they are still required to register with the Pro before playing. Only club owned conveyances may be used (no privately owned walking carts, manual or motorized).

When Can I Make Tee Times?

Tee times are taken by email on Tuesday morning for Tuesday - Sunday each week. Email Paul O'Brien at [email protected] to reserve tee times.

Can I Start Off Number 10?

A player may not start at No. 10 tee without special permission from the Golf Professional on duty. During times of heavy play, the Golf Pro may direct you to start at No. 10 tee when he deems prudent.

When Do I Let Someone Play Through?

If the hole ahead of your group is open, it is mandatory to invite faster groups behind you to play through. Do so promptly, and don’t wait to be asked. The rules require that slower players allow faster players to go through if the flow or play is not to be hampered. If a group goes to the Clubhouse at the turn thereby allowing the following group to catch them, the group that went to the clubhouse forfeits its place on the course. The group thus forfeiting its place will have wait for the next opening before resuming play.

Can My Child Play The Golf Course?

Yes. If their parents are golfing members, also check with the Pro Shop for availability. During peak hours children must be accompanied by their parents and the group must be able to maintain the speed of play.

What Maintenance Is Required By Members?

Reciprocal courtesies are extended on weekdays only.

      * In-town guests (those residing within a fifty-mile radius of Shelby County) are permitted to play golf twice in any calendar month. Limitations apply to guest whether invited by one or more members. To avoid embarrassment, it is the responsibility of the Host Member to ascertain whether the guest is eligible for a visit to the Club at the time of the invitation. To determine the eligibility of a guest, call the Pro Shop in advance. A Host Member is limited to three in-town guest on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

  • Winter Golf Rules
    • Winter Golf Rules

      • Traditionally, after the fairways and roughs went dormant in the fall, we have restricted golf carts to the paths.
      • We will now allow golf carts off the paths in the winter only when dry conditions exist.
      • When we are able to drive in the fairways, please use the 90 degree cart rule as much as possible. When driving to your ball, please use the "scatter rule". Do not drive your cart in an area where the grass is thin.
      • Several holes have low, wet areas in front of the green. These areas will be closed to all cart traffic until spring. Rather than putting up ropes, the green posts that are usually 20 yards in front of the green will be moved further from the green to protect these areas. Once your cart reaches these posts, please return to the cartpaths.
      • Please read and comply with the cart rules of the day that are posted on #1 and #10 tee. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
      • All golf carts are expected to return to the paths once your cart reaches the green posts. No carts are allowed to drive in the fairway or rough past the green posts. No exceptions please. If you have any questions pertaining to this new policy, please contact the golf shop.
      • Whenever cold temperatures are predicted, at or below 24 degrees, in order to prevent any damage to the greens, it will be necessary to close the course and cover the greens with a tarp. Whenever we will need to cover the greens, the membership will be notified by email as far in advance as possible. We will uncover the greens and reopen the course as soon as warmer temperatures return.
  • Golf Maintenance Schedule
    • "Our mature, traditional course features Champion Bermuda greens and zoysia grass fairways, providing a memorable playing experience"

How Do We Maintain Our Greens?

      • Greens are mowed each day and rolled as needed. The greens are sprayed on a schedule for growth regulation, disease prevention and other needed applications. This is done after mowing,  in front of play, when possible.
      • Greens are aerated multiple times a year, but core aerification is done once in the summer.  Core aerification is the process of pulling a core of soil and grass from the playing surface and filling the void with sand.

How Do We Maintain Our Bunkers?

      • Bunkers are raked in the morning as often as required to maintain playability.

How Do We Maintain Our Tee Boxes?

      • Tees are mowed multiple times a week throughout the growing season.
      • Core aerification of the tee tops is done once a year.

How Do We Maintain Our Fairways?

      • Fairways are mowed multiple times a week though the growing season.
      • Fairways are aerated, vertical mowed, and topdressed with sand during the summer according to schedule.

How Do We Maintain Our Rough?

      • The Rough is mowed once a week. Crew begins cutting on Monday and finishes on Friday
  • Junior Golf
