Only club owned conveyances may be used (no privately owned walking carts, manual or motorized).

All golfers desiring to compete in tournament play must maintain an official computer handicap. Score cards are to be turned in to the Pro’s after each round. Show the score, name and club identification of each player.

When Can I make tee times?
Tee times are taken for play everyday.  For tee times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday call or e-mail after Tuesday at 8:00 am.  For tee times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday call 8:00 AM on Thursday or e-mail Wednesday before 5 pm at www.ridgewaycoutryclub.com.

Can I start off Number 10?
A player may not start at No. 10 tee without special permission from the Golf Professional on duty. During times of heavy play, the Golf Pro may direct you to start at No. 10 tee when he deems prudent.

When do I let someone play through?
If the hole ahead of your group is open, it is mandatory to invite faster groups behind you to play through. Do so promptly, and don’t wait to be asked. The rules require that slower players allow faster players to go through if the flow or play is not to be hampered. If a group goes to the Clubhouse at the turn thereby allowing the following group to catch them, the group that went to the clubhouse forfeits its place on the course.  The group thus forfeiting its place will have wait for the next opening before resuming play.

Can my child play the golf course?
Yes.  If their parents are golfing members, also check with the Pro Shop for availability.  During peak hours children must be accompanied by their parents and the group must be able to maintain the speed of play.

What maintenance is required by Members?
All members and their guests are required to repair their ball marks and rake the sand bunkers.  Carts must stay 30 yards from the greens.

When is Ladies’ Day?
Wednesday morning is Ladies’ Day from April through October. The #1 tee is closed to other play until after all ladies have cleared the tee.

What are the Golf Guest Policies?
The Host Member must register all guests in the Golf Shop before starting play. Failure to properly register a guest is a rule violation.  From March 1st through November 1st, in- town Guests (reciprocal and otherwise) may not tee off before 11:00 AM on Saturday, Sundays and Holidays. Reciprocal courtesies are extended on weekdays only.

* In-town guests (those residing within a fifty-mile radius of Shelby County) are permitted to play golf twice in any calendar month.  Limitations apply to guest whether invited by one or more members.  To avoid embarrassment, it is the responsibility of the Host Member to ascertain whether the guest is eligible for a visit to the Club at the time of the invitation. To determine the eligibility of a guest, call the Pro Shop in advance. A Host Member is limited to three in-town guest on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Out of town guests reside outside a fifty-mile radius of Shelby County and are welcome at any time.

House Guests are entitled to use all of the Club recreational facilities for a weekly fee. The guest is entitled to use only those facilities to which his host Member is entitled to use. House Guests are those visiting the Host Member for periods of more than three days.  The Membership Director or the General Manager will process house guest passes.  Please call the Clubhouse at (901) 853-2247 to process a house guest.

Large numbers of guests are permitted on weekdays, up to fifteen Guests, providing proper arrangements are made at least a week in advance. Under all circumstances, the Host Member must accompany his Guests.

Who can drive a cart?
Cart operators must possess a current driver’s license. Golf Carts are to be used for golf functions only. If carts are available, the Pro’s may permit a Member to check out a cart for fishing at the regular cart fee.

Never more than two riders and two bags (unless a cart extender is used) are permitted on a cart. Carts will be rotated for maintenance purposes. No pull carts allowed.

Where can I drive a cart?
“90 degree rule” is the norm.  Carts must return to the path at the green stakes near the greens. Whenever the course conditions dictate, a sign will be placed on the first and tenth tees reading “carts stay on path today”. On those days it is mandatory to stay on paths and follow the signs without exception. Carts must not be driven on Fairway or Rough. Golfers must leave the carts on the path and walk to the ball. If the above is violated, the Committee will be compelled to levy a fine.

How can I get a golf lesson?
Lessons are available by appointment. Playing lessons are available on weekdays.

Is the course open on Monday?
The Bag Storage Facilities and the Golf Course will normally be available on Mondays, May 1-September 30 from 10am to 5 pm.
