New Winter Golf Rules

Traditionally, after the fairways and roughs went dormant in the fall, we have restricted golf carts to the paths.

We will now allow golf carts off the paths in the winter only when dry conditions exist.

When  we are able to drive in the fairways, please use the 90 degree cart rule as much as possible.  When driving to your ball, please use the "scatter rule".  Do not drive your cart in an area where the grass is thin.

Several holes have low, wet areas in front of the green.  These areas will be closed to all cart traffic until spring.  Rather than putting up ropes, the green posts that are usually 20 yards in front of the green will be moved further from the green to protect these areas.  Once your cart reaches these posts, please return to the cartpaths.

Please read and comply with the cart rules of the day that are posted on #1 and #10 tee.  Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

Because this policy will be in effect for all carts, including senior flag carts, blue flags will no longer be issued.  All carts will be allowed off the paths or all carts will be required to stay on the paths.

All golf carts are expected to return to the paths once your cart reaches the green posts.  No carts are allowed to drive in the fairway or rough past the green posts. No exceptions please.  If you have any questions pertaining to this new policy, please contact the golf shop.

Whenever cold temperatures are predicted, at or below 24 degrees, in order to prevent any damage to the greens, it will be necessary to close the course and cover the greens with a tarp.  Whenever we will need to cover the greens, the membership will be notified by email as far in advance as possible.  We will uncover the greens and reopen the course as soon as warmer temperatures return.
